In October 2020, Dye was the first guy Cavallari was linked to following her split from Cutler.

“She’s just hanging out with him. They’re enjoying each other’s company [and] having fun. That’s it,” a source told Us of Cavallari and Dye’s romance. “They’re really just getting to know one another and seeing where things go. … If they do decide to one day become official, people will know for sure.”

Cavallari hung out with Kroll and his costar Craig Conover in October 2020 and December 2020. Kroll’s ex Madison LeCroy subsequently pursued Cutler. The hairdresser and the athlete cooled off, however, after LeCroy made fun of Cavallari via Instagram Live.
