The “EAGLE-EYED” search teams came to the rescue of a missing dog that had stranded in the middle of a swampy field in Rhyl.
Rhyl and Flint Coastguard rescue teams were called in on Wednesday afternoon after Pug Buddy went missing from his family near March Tracks.
The owners had taken to social media as they searched the area near the River Clwyd, but Buddy could not be found.
But with the help of expert search and rescue officers, the lost puppy was found, trapped in mud in the middle of a field, before being taken to safety in a hot tub.
Rhyl’s Coast Guard Rescue Team said on social media, “Buddy, the pug has been found! We are aware of the widespread social media dissemination of Buddy that has gone missing from his home in Rhyl.
The Flint Coast Guard Rescue Team and Rescue Team were loaded this evening after concerns were expressed for the safety of owners who were seen searching near the Marsh Marsh runway area. the Clwyd river which can be very muddy and swampy!
“Our eagle-eyed Coast Guard rescue officers spotted Buddy who got a bit stuck in the mud and brought him to safety.
“Buddy is now home and going to enjoy a nice hot bath. As you can see it is a bit messy!
