Emergency crews rush to the scene of a major accident involving multiple vehicles in Kinross

Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Kinross on Wednesday evening.

Crews from the Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Police Scotland attended the scene on Stirling Road in Milnathort.

A fire department spokesperson confirmed their crews were called to report the crash at around 6.24pm.

It is currently unknown if anyone was injured.

Footage and images uploaded to social media show an overturned car and damage to other vehicles.

Perth and Kinross Council have confirmed the road will be closed to traffic overnight.

Stagecoach canceled its X56 service at 6:56 p.m. following the incident, which forced police to close the road.

The company said the service was stuck in traffic with no alternate route.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
