Fire services were seen yesterday afternoon putting out the remains of a fire in a building next to the village children’s play park.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.31pm on Tuesday October 18 to reports of a fire in a changing room in Watten Park, Caithness.

“Operations Control mobilized two aircraft to the scene to extinguish a small fire. No casualties were reported.”
