Around 1 p.m., first responders were dispatched for an at-sea rescue at a surf spot commonly known as Acid Drops in Po’ipu.
Personnel from the Kaua’i Fire Department Koloa Fire Station and the Office of Ocean Safety’s South Roving Ski Patrol responded to the incident.
According to a preliminary report, first responders arrived on the scene and discovered three individuals on flotation devices facing an area commonly referred to as Baby Beach. According to reports, the individuals were caught in a current at Acid Drops and drifted approximately half a mile to Baby Beach.
