LAHORE- To establish community rescue service through basic care and fire safety training session, Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA), also known as Central Business District (CBD) Punjab, collaborated with Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122.
The training session was conducted at CBD House Punjab. During this session, CEOs, middle managers and auxiliary staff of CBD Punjab received hands-on training on basic care and fire safety.
CBD Punjab employees were given a comprehensive basic life support briefing by seasoned rescue professionals from Rescue 1122 who are experts in basic life support, fire safety, lifesaving techniques, life support, emergency evacuation, disaster preparedness and prevention.
Rescue trainers told participants that the main art of dealing with an emergency is to use all your senses and not panic. They also gave a hands-on demonstration using different props like mannequins and live images of basic resuscitation skills including first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), fractures, wound management, cardiac arrest , airway obstruction by a foreign body, management of angina pectoris and myocardium. heart attacks, burns and evacuation in case of fire as a first responder. According to the increasing number of Covid 19 cases, participants were also briefed on the initial treatment and quarantine process for a Covid 19 patient
Imran Amin, General Manager of LCBDDA, while sharing his view on this training session, said, “Public safety is the cornerstone of a great society, basic life support training should be mandatory for everyone. the world. We should be proud of our emergency services who live their lives on the edge and risk it with quick actions to save us from more misery in an emergency.”
