“As a company, Henshalls is proud to work with local organizations and community groups who make a real difference, and Search and Rescue volunteers are a great example of people who put others first.”

West Mercia Search and Rescue is an all volunteer group and volunteers give their time, money and dedication to help save lives. Earlier this year they received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – the MBE for volunteer groups.

Andy Neal, research planner and fundraising manager, said: ‘We could not run our charity without the support of the public and we are very grateful to Henshalls for their donation – we do not receive any money government, and we need to raise the £60,000 a year it costs to run the team.

“We need to give our operational members the best training, safety kit and specialized equipment so they can do their job safely.

“Every penny donated is intended to support and keep the relief team operational, so we are always keen to hear from local businesses and groups who may be able to pledge their support and kindly donate.”
