Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

Community Safety Minister Ash Regan will host the event, which is open to members of the public and key stakeholders, at the Golden Jubilee Hotel and Conference Center in Clydebank.

Dr. Kirsty Darwent, Chair of the SFRS Board of Directors and Ross Haggart, Interim CEO, will present a performance report to the Minister who will then ask questions before opening the floor.

Ms Regan said: ‘I greatly appreciate the responsibility of holding what is now the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s ninth annual performance review, and I am delighted that we can now meet in person and provide an option of hybrid participation.

“The annual performance review gives us both the opportunity to reflect on performance and also to thank SFRS for all that SFRS has done in the reporting year. The 21/22 reporting year covers still a time of COVID restrictions, but I think this year we will be able to discuss broader issues while acknowledging the huge contribution that everyone at SFRS has made during the most difficult times.

“The Annual Review and Report document allows the government and the public to review the Service’s performance and the work that has been accomplished over the past year. For the final time, due to the new Fire Framework 2022 released earlier this year, we will be looking at performance against the Scottish Government Fire and Rescue Framework for Scotland 2016, which sets out Scottish Ministers’ ambitions and priorities for the SFRS, as well as strategic priorities. which represent our high level ambition for what we expect from a leading, modern, competent and dynamic fire and rescue service.

The SFRS Annual Performance Review takes place on Tuesday 27 September from 10am to 12.30pm at the Agamemnon Suite, Golden Jubilee Hotel and Conference Center in Clydebank.
