Watch massive flames erupt from the Glasgow home as emergency services rush to the scene

Hero firefighters are currently battling a house fire in Glasgow which saw flames erupting from the roof of the property.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the Cronberry Quadrant at approximately 8:19 p.m. Friday, November 5.

Images from the area show several fire trucks parked on quiet Crookston Street with crews using an overhead device to extinguish water on the burning rooftop.

No injuries were reported, but firefighters continue to fight the massive blaze.

Residents were forced to close their windows and doors due to heavy smoke from the blaze.

The Scottish Police are also present for traffic management with a cordon in place.

The cause of the fire is not currently known.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘We were alerted at 8:19 pm on Friday 5th November of reports of smoke coming from a property in Cronberry Quadrant, Glasgow.

“Operations control mobilized four devices on the scene and firefighters are busy extinguishing a fire affecting flat terrain.

“No casualties have been reported.”

Scottish police have confirmed they are at the scene to assist firefighters.
